The all-girls summer camp, which Katherine attended and worked at for many years, has a song with a line “to us your name means wide awake, means better girls of us to make.” Camp embodies many of the things she values most and hopes to bring to this work - female mentorship, connection, self-reflection, feeling empowered - so it was only fitting to choose a name that reflects camp.
